Lanny Wiles, the Republican advance man and John McCain campaign veteran, resigned from Jon Huntsman?s presidential campaign team on Friday, he told POLITICO.
Wiles said he was leaving the campaign to return to his ventures in the private sector.

He added: ?I am still an avid supporter of Governor Huntsman.?
The Florida-based operative is the latest of several Huntsman staffers to exit the campaign. His wife, Susie Wiles, was Huntsman?s campaign manager until stepping down in July.
Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller praised Wiles for his contributions to the campaign and indicated that he was parting with the Huntsman operation on good terms.
?Governor Huntsman was extremely grateful for the help of a political icon like Lanny who was instrumental in getting the campaign off the ground. He wishes him nothing but the best as he returns to his lobbying practice,? Miller said.
Wiles was among the large group of McCain alumni in the Huntsman camp, along with Miller, senior strategist John Weaver, ad man Fred Davis and Matt David, who replaced Susie Wiles as campaign manager.
Jonathan Martin reported earlier this month that Lanny Wiles had drawn criticism for a string of logistical errors at Huntsman's campaign?kickoff event, including from the candidate's father, billionaire chemicals manufacturer Jon Huntsman Sr.
