We visited the Family Guy studios at Fox Animation, and had a great time learning more about the production pipeline for television animation. We also got to say hi to Jake Hair, who we?d met earlier in the week.
I want all these cool things!
The Drunken Clam! Kitchen area at Fox Animation
One of the storyboard artists walked us through the process of drawing storyboards and syncing them to dialogue. This was very interesting for those of us in the group who are interested in becoming story artists. We visited the recording room, where Seth MacFarlane and Mila Kunis record the voices for the characters.
Some of the wonderful advice we were given: don?t be afraid to take a test at an animation studio, and don?t stop networking (or like we said before:?friendmaking?). Draw every day, get better, and while you?re in school, work on what?s important for you.
The atmosphere at Fox was really great. Everyone was very welcoming and their company culture was very supportive to the artistic nature of their employees.

Before we left, the amazing folks at Fox had special surprises for us. We all got different Family Guy swag. Thanks, guys!
I love my Stewie hat!
